FROM THE VAULT: The FTV series presents some of your favorite W4H wrestlers early in their underground career, or early matches filmed that formed the foundation of the W4H empire. Ronnie Pearl just can't seem to catch a break. Although I think most objective people would claim that he has a pretty toned physique, he seems to always be matched up against folks who are bigger and more powerful than him, and have utter disdain for his body,and go on to tell him exactly what they think.
Case in point: Lane Hartley. Lane has an extensive wrestling career having logged many hours in the squared circle. So when he sees Ronnie, his first though is to show utter contempt for him, contempt that manifests itself in an utter and complete beating of the young Pearl. Lane pulls everything from his underground wrestling arsenal, placing Ronnie in precarious position after precarious position. Pearl is proficient at one thing - screaming in pain for the punishment to end. Unfortunately, Lane is not obligated to do that.
What he is obligated to do is work over Ronnie until he is unable to continue. Figure four leglocks, power moves like standing on his upside body in the corner or tying up his legs into ways that legs weren't meant to be tied all serve to soften up his opponent, until it is time to place the young Pearl into a sleeper hold so tight that one can easily see all of the blood leave Pearl's face and hear his breathing lbecome labored until he is nothing more than a heap of flesh in the center of the ring. Feeling satisfied that he has proven his point, Lane just leaves the poor jobber right where he is and exits the ring. Another successful outing for Lane, this time at Pearl's expense!
