Description
FROM THE VAULT: The FTV series presents some of your favorite W4H wrestlers early in their underground careers, or early matches filmed that formed the foundation of the W4H empire. Poor Tommy Laine. The only time he has seen any success in W4H is when he has faced an opponent with the friendly confines of his own home. Put him a wrestling ring proper and he seems to evidently get the crap beat of him. Here is served up to his newest source of a beating, Rolf Fulton, who has been the recipient of beatings in the past, but is now eager to get revenge on anyone he matches up against.
Tommy takes an especially brutal beating in this match from Rolf, with camel clutches, piledrivers off the ring rope, ab claws and chops across the chest all in Rolf's arsenal. A vise-like headlock has Tommy going to Dreamland and yet Rolf wakes him up for one more indignation - super kick right across the chin, which fells Tommy and leads to a final 1-2-3 and a slap across the face by Rolf. Fulton exits leaving the prone Laine unconscious in the middle of the squared circle.
More than perhaps any other wrestler showcased in the FTV series, one can really see the evolution of Rolf from his earliest matches, where he was like a lamb to slaughter, to his later matches, where he was a wolf among the sheep. He obviously learned much in his defeats and took that knowledge, honed his skills, and came back at it with a vengeance and a determination to never let what he had experienced earlier occur to him again. It is only a pity that Tommy had to be the one to experience the meaner, more sadistic Rolf.
