Let's face it, Javier the Hunk has not had a lot of success so far in W4H. This is largely to his being paired with opponents who are taller and heavier than he is. He possesses incredible in ring skill, and yet so far it has not been enough to overcome the size difference. So when he is paired against Gabe Steele, another grappler larger and heavier than Javier, the prospects for "the Hunk" do not look good. But remember the old adage, "Don't judge a book by it's cover"? Well in this instance, don't judge how a match will go just by looking at the two opponents.
It is apparent from the onset that Javier has learned from his earlier bouts against larger foes, and one thing he does immediately is go on the offense. He realizes that a larger man cannot get one in their power moves if their are preoccupied with having to play defense against your moves. And so Gabe, from the onset, finds himself the recipient of Javier's attacks. Perhaps Javier is getting out some of the frustration from the beatings he has taken in the past, but he seems more determined, more driven, to inflict pain on Gabe.
That is not to say that Gabe does not have some pretty painful moves to put on Javier as well. There is a fair amount of give and take in this match. You'll see suplexes off the top rope in this match, lots of DDTs, a figure four leglock, use of the ring posts and ring ropes all in efforts to achieve the final pin. And, as an added bonus, the finale of the match ends up making this match a body bag match, where one of the pair will end up zippered up inside a body bad. This one has everything including the kitchen sink, and I am confident you will enjoy it!
