FROM THE VAULT: The FTV series presents some of your favorite W4H wrestlers early in their underground careers, or early matches filmed that formed the foundation of the W4H empire.
Never let it be said that Rico Rave is intimidated by his opponents. No matter who he faces, and what is happening to him, he always has some witty remark about who he is facing. In this case, he stands across from Ethan Andrews, or, as Rico would have you believe, Justin Bieber.
Ethan sets about showing him that although he is somewhat younger than Rico, he has what it takes to totally destroy him, whether in the corner, after a devastating suplex, or on the mat pounding on his midsection or driving his knee squarely into the middle of Rave's back. Nothing keeps Rico from delivering the sass though, almost as if he doesn't realize that he is the one getting beat down mercilessly. Back breakers give way to being choked in the ropes, to an extended figure four leg-lock.
When the end finally comes, as it eventually must, it is in the form of a pedigree which instantly stops all of Rico's verbal attacks. Now unconscious on the mat, Rico is not around to hear Ethan own up to his similarities to "The Beebs", claiming he had his haircut long before the pop superstar was ever around. Rico proves again that even in a losing bid, he can still make the match interesting and fun for everyone. The ending may be the same for him as in the past, the road he takes to his losses is always a new one!

NJC Ethan became an instant favourite wrestler of mine when he first debuted and perhaps remains my all-time favourite, so this flashback to his younger days, and barefoot as well, was always going to be an easy sell for me. But the match is good on its own merits, a fun beatdown of a cocky bigger, older wrestler by the young upstart. There are a lot of great moves here, but I have to admit my favourite is when Ethan chokes Rico on the top rope, pulling down from in front of him. Not only a brutal KO (though still not the end of the match for poor Rico!), but offering a beautiful extended shot of Ethan's pits.
