Description
FROM THE VAULT: The FTV series presents some of your favorite W4H wrestlers early in their underground careers, or early matches filmed that formed the foundation of the W4H empire. Rico Rave has a serious problem. He never seems to understand the precarious position he is in. No matter where he finds himself (and it is usually on the receiving end of a beatdown), his mouth seems to always be of the impression that he is in control, and goes about repeatedly writing checks that his body can't cash.
Here, at the hands of Zori Leone, Rico goes about calling Zori "Milli Vanilli", even though he is the process of having Zori's knees firmly planted in the upper part of his back, His taunts of "Marley" only gets Zori to more firmly cinch in a brutal camel clutch, and Rico's taunt of stereotypical Canadian slang just serve to force Leone to slap on a Texas Cloverleaf. Rico then discovers that Zori has an anger management problem, as Zori goes full mental and catches the unsuspecting Rico in a Cobra Clutch to seal the deal.
As stated, Rico's running monologue continues throughout, whether he is in a full nelson or in a tree of woe. Zori's onslaught is unrelenting, and Rico's fate is never really in doubt. Zori's earliest matches show his incredible potential, and his ability to totally give into his inner heel, much to the detriment of Rico Rave and Zori's other opponents. The FTV series has done an excellent job of highlighting just how the current roster formulated their current in ring personas, and also show just how W4H has evolved through the years.
