Description
Drew Harper (6'1", 215 lbs, Texas)
Ethan Andrews (5'11", 170 lbs, Wisconsin)
Sometimes in NHB you get matches where the falls come fast and furious and before you know it, there are upwards of 10 to 15 falls between the two combatants. Other times, such as in the case of Ethan Andrews vs. Drew Harper, the falls are much less frequent, even harder to come by. This is not to say that the action is any less exciting, it just means, as in this case, that the combatants are very equally matched, and, even more impressively, neither person wants to give their opponent the satisfaction of tapping out. It requires a great amount of stamina and ability to withstand pain to continue in a match of this type.
Beginning with a feeling out period, you can tell that the two are constantly sizing the other man up, probing for weaknesses, thinking 2 or 3 moves ahead. When one man makes even the smallest error, the other pounces on the opportunity and wins a hard-fought tap out.
Relying heavily on their Greco-Roman wrestling skills, this is an exciting match to watch, even without the numerous pinfalls. You can see and feel each of the wrestler’s grit and determination to make their opponent tap out and in the end the winner only notches a 1 fall advantage of the defeated man. A great match to enjoy!
