WrestleFest NYC - A Fans Perspective

WrestleFest NYC - A Fans Perspective

What an Event 👍

The event held at Red Eye in NYC as part of the WrestlefestNYC was a first for me. I only went because my favorite wrestler Zach Reno was going to be a part of it.

I got to the place early and was amazed to see an actual pro wrestling ring be built right before my eyes. Guys carried in the ring ropes and poles and lots of wood. The crew members were all a real nice bunch of people.

As they finished, I sat at the bar waiting for the event to begin - 2 1/2 hours till show time. In the foreground I see someone walk in from the back - I couldn't believe who it was. The main reason I came to the event, Zach Reno himself.

He sat at the bar, ordered a drink and was relaxing. I gave him about 15 minutes then I decided to walk over to him. When I got over to him, he looked up and knew who I was. I have been a fan of his since 2013, I have all his matches on DVD from all the major wrestling studios and we have written over time through on-line sites but never met in person.

He was so very nice (and really good looking too).

I asked him if he would sign a pic for me which he did. I was blown away cause without asking he knew my first and last name - what a guy!

We chatted a bit and then he had to go get ready for his match. As I hung waiting for the event to begin, I met a lot of really nice guys from all over who were all there for the same reason - their love for Gay wrestling. One of the event leaders introduced me to a guy who came from Atlanta just to see Zach Reno in person. We had a whole conversation about our favorite wrestler.

As the event started it was great to see so many guys wrestle that I had never heard of but fast became fans of theirs from this event.

Zach Reno was up against another fav Sid Shaw. The two of them gave a great show. Sid gave Zach the sock puppet in his mouth, paraded him around the ring over his shoulders displaying Zach's bare ass for all to enjoy. The match ended in a surprise, which I won't give away.
After that the likes of Drew Harper, Gabe Steel, and more went on. A lot of action worth watching in person.

After the wrestling event, they had a meet and greet at VV Bar on 51st street. Again, it was worth going to as I got to hang out with Sid Shaw and my favorite wrestler Zach Reno.

The whole Saturday event was truly amazing. I was so happy I went as everyone involved gave so much to entertain us fans and they didn't disappoint. If you couldn't tell, meeting Zach Reno was the best part for me. He truly is a nice, kind-hearted guy who knows how to perform in the ring.

I will definitely be attending next year's event.
