I just returned from a weekend trip to Chicago. Got in a couple matches in while I was in the Midwest. Not like the usual tours I do, where I make it to St. Louis, Indiana and Ohio, but was great to get away for a few days and have a few fun matches.
I used to go on these week long trips where I would try to get in as many matches as I could. While you would think that is fun, wrestling 2 to 4 times a day while traveling hundreds of miles isn’t as exciting as it seems. Heck, my record is something like 7 or 8 (60 minute plus) matches in a day.
Over the last two years, I’ve cut back significantly. I have about a dozen guys I like to meet up with all over the country. Boston, NYC, Chicago, Florida, Los Angeles and a few other places. England is home to a couple faves, too. I think the wear-and-tear of travel did the most to take the fun away from these wrestling trips. I should’ve looked into getting a chauffeur.
Anyway, I’ll be hitting a few more places this year before hanging up the speedos. Well, let’s say it’s a semi-retirement. The remainder of this year will feature a trip to NYC (and maybe Philadelphia) about Mid-September…a few days in Los Angeles around the beginning of October before I head (fingers crossed) over to Australia & New Zealand for a couple weeks.
After these trips, I’ll probably lay low for most of the winter. I plan to hide out in Florida or somewhere in the southern USA. Hitting the gym, drinking some adult beverages and chasing some tail. Perhaps, working on a few other ventures I’ve had floating around in my mind. So let’s make these last few months a blast. If you live in these areas, hit me up and let’s set something up.
As I said, this is more of a semi-retirement and I’ll be keeping up with some regular wrestling opponents that I share the most fun sessions with.
