Forgive me in advance for how incoherent this blog may be. I'm a little under the weather and my brain is scattered.
Remember when you went back to school in the fall and you had to do a short essay about how you spent your summer? That's what I feel like I'm doing right now, except I haven't done anything different this summer that I wasn't doing in the Spring, Winter and last Autumn.
Are season names capitalized? I wanna say yes.
Let's get back on course. I'm up in the northeast...northern New England to be more exact and it's been a cold, wet summer with few exceptions. Looks like later this week and next week we'll get some seasonal temperatures, but with Maine weather you never know...or weather forecasts anywhere for that matter.
I've had a few pro matches up north so far. Mostly community days or state fairs - old school Americana. Just this past weekend, I wrestled twice. Wrestling is always a fun addition to any fair, I believe, but the big draw was the Demolition Derby.
Seems like fairs are shrinking. Someone told me this fair was 33% the size as previous years as far as the midway, vendors and activities. I remember going to this fair as a kid and dare I say it was the largest and best in the entire state. I even saw loads of big name wrestlers at that same fair - Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Hercules, "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas, etc.
Surely, I've seen Demolition Ax, Big Vito, King Kong Bundy, Scotty 2 Hotty and other stars at other fairs around the state.
I may participate in some wrestling 20 minutes from my house this weekend and next week. We shall see if there's room on the shows and how I recover from this cold I've been sleeping off.
I'd like to bump into Tony Atlas...he's always a classic and a kind-hearted man. Always asks how my grandmother is doing, so let's hope it works out. Maybe I'll go say hi even if I don't wrestle.
There are always plenty of characters at the fairgrounds. I met a cool stunt/magician and a famous YouTube personality this past weekend. Who knows will be at this fair. Oh the possibilities :)
The sister site to W4H that I wanted to turn into a user-submitted website has ran into problems. The service hosting our trailers/previews shut us down. It's odd. I've seen other sites use this service and they are still running their previews there, so I don't know what the issue is and I don't have a great solution.
With that said, I'm gonna try to come up with something. If you have any ideas, let me know.
The site didn't catch on as big as I thought it would. Maybe I'll just shut it down.
Our Best Yet
I was chatting with a few friends recently and they praised the recent releases on Wrestler4Hire, Hero Hunks and all the other segments of the website. I didn't want to pull a Barry Horowitz and pat myself on the back but I'm gonna do it.
The site has had a HOT STREAK of matches lately. I don't know how I didn't release these sooner.
Expect more of the same in the upcoming days, weeks and months. I've got a nice little schedule of boner-riffic matches and faces planned.
As well, I'll be doing a small shoot in Chicago with a few new guys and some classics. If you're looking for something to add to your private collection, hit me up via email firstname.lastname@example.org and let's chat about it.
I'm going to try to get one or 2 more summer activities in - whether it's fishing, river floating and/or hitting a waterpark. I'd like to spend this fall exploring still. Maybe give my knees a break - but that's hard when you have a passion for wrestling and action like I do.
I don't know - I heard Covid is going around again. Hopefully this isn't that. The brain fog and the difficulty focusing makes me feel like it may be. My gram has been dealing with the same thing too and the more I think about it...I should take a test...and a nap.
Thanks for struggling through this update with me.
