Annual Fundraiser 2025

Every year as my birthday approaches, people ask what I’m doing to celebrate, and I still get the same question from my Gram (and a few others): “What would you like for your birthday?” or “What do you want for Christmas?” And honestly, it’s been the same answer for a long time now—I just want some peace and fuckin' quiet! Just kidding… kind of 😆

Somebody told me these blogs are better with shirtless pics, so here's a throwback from Malibu, California taking by a private wrestling buddy. Hope this brings some joy.
The serious answer is that I want to do something good for someone else. Whether it’s donating money to a meaningful cause, helping someone who needs a hand, cleaning up the community I'm in, or doing anything that makes the world a little better because you did it...that’s what matters to me. I don’t need anything, and it brings me far more joy than receiving any superficial gifts. That being said, I still appreciate thoughtful notes and funny cards...I keep a lot of them.
You’ve helped me raise tons of funds over the years for heating assistance in small-town Maine, and I APPRECIATE THAT GREATLY...and I’m fairly certain that most folks who struggle financially to heat their homes are now sufficiently (or mostly) covered during the winter. There seem to be plenty of programs available for this type of thing. Truly, thank you very much.
This year, I’m thinking we shift directions. Instead of raising money for heating assistance in my childhood hometown, maybe we aim for something arguably more positive.
I’d like to focus on doing something positive/helpful/beneficial (whatever the proper word is...I should update my English knowledge soon) for people dealing with a cancer diagnosis. I’m still figuring out exactly how to distribute the funds, but just like every year, I will give every single nickel and dime we raise away. And on top of that, I’ll be donating $3,000–$4,000 of my own money to help people who could really use the support.
So please, if you've got the means to spare a little change to ease life's burden for someone who is dealing with some heavy shit, consider donating to this fundraiser...or to a worthy cause that you find compelling to you. I don't care if it goes to this fundraiser, just as long as we can help others a tiny bit.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and share some joy and compassion this holiday season. I'm thankful for the support from you.
